Hi, I’m Alisher Khakimov — Co-Founder of Sante Clinic Turkey.

I’m 35, originally from Kyrgyzstan, currently based in Montreal, Canada. I work as a Product Manager in a financial company by day and run Sante Clinic’s marketing, strategy, and technical operations.

Why I Started Sante Clinic

I lived and worked in Turkey for 5 years (2009–2014) in the tourism industry. I speak fluent Turkish and know how business works there — including the parts they don’t tell you about.

My partner works as a medical tourism consultant in Istanbul. She sees the industry from the inside every day. Here’s what she found: most doctors in Istanbul work across 3–4 clinics simultaneously. Consultations are rushed. Information gets lost. Patient expectations are inflated because the goal is to close the deal, not to give honest advice.

We started Sante Clinic to do things differently. Every patient talks to a real person. My partner personally coordinates every treatment — from the first WhatsApp message to post-procedure check-ins.

My Role at Sante Clinic

Marketing & Strategy: website, SEO, content, advertising

Technical Operations: site development, analytics, automation

Quality Control: I review every piece of content we publish to make sure it’s honest, accurate, and useful

My partner’s role:

Patient Coordination: personal communication with every patient

On-the-ground in Istanbul: present at every clinic visit, translates, monitors quality

Doctor Selection: matches each patient with the right specialist for their specific case

What I Know About Medical Tourism in Turkey

After 5 years of living in Turkey, I understand things that most agency owners don’t:

How clinics actually operate — the same surgeon may work at 3 different clinics. If you book “Dr. X” you might get “Dr. Y” on the day.

Pricing games — one clinic quotes $8,000, another quotes $2,000 for the same procedure. The truth is usually somewhere in between. We help patients understand why.

The TikTok scare — viral videos of teeth filed to stumps scared people away from Turkey. But that’s full-prep veneers. We recommend minimal-prep (laminate) veneers whenever possible — 0.3mm vs 2mm of tooth removal.

Language barrier — even “English-speaking” clinics often have staff who speak basic English. Miscommunication leads to wrong expectations. My partner is there to translate and clarify everything.

Languages I Speak

  • English (fluent)
  • Russian (native)
  • Turkish (fluent — 5 years in Turkey)
  • Kyrgyz (native)
